Surat DCB seize Rs 6.07 lakh worth of MD drug hidden among mosquito repellent coils

Surat: The Surat Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) has nabbed an infamous drug dealer from Chokbajar Madarivad, Azahruddin alias Ajju, and his partner with Rs 6.07 lakh worth of 60.73 gram of MD drug camouflaged among mosquito repellent coils.
The DCB had arranged a watch at Parvat Patiya Kangaroo circle on Tuesday night after receiving a tip-off that Azahruddin, fruit dealer Mohammed Haroon Rashid Ahmed Rine (resident of Khanpura, Limbayat), who also works as a drug dealer, and Abdul Rehman Shabbirkhan Pathan (resident of Khansahebnu Bhatu, Variyali Bazar), their driver, were going to enter the city with a significant quantity of MD drug from Mumbai.
When the car was frisked, a box of mosquito repellent coils was found from a shelf near the front seat. As much as 60.73 grams of MD drug was found packed with sellotape inside this box.
The trio have admitted to having procured the narcotic from a person called Umar in Mumbai’s Mira Road, who now has been declared as wanted in this case. The police have produced all the three before a court, which has granted them 5-day custody.
