Gandhinagar: The State Home department has suspended Ahmedabad rural DySP NK Patel and Botad DySP SK Trivedi after a chemical mixed liquor tragedy in which 42 persons are dead.

The government has also transferred Botad and Ahmedabad Rural Superintendents of Police  Karanrajsinh Vaghela and Virendrasinh Yadav. While IPS Virendrasingh Yadav who is SP, Ahmedabad rural is transferred to the post of Commandant, Metro Security in Ahmedabad, another IPS officer Dr. Karanraj Vaghela, SP of Botad has been transferred and appointed on vacant post of Commandant, protection of Government properties, Gandhinagar.

Police Sub Inspectors of Barwala and Ranpur and one more cop namely Sureshkumar Chaudhary are also suspended. Police Inspector of Dhandhuka is also suspended.
