Former HM and LOP Naresh Rawal , ex 3-term Rajya Sabha MP Rajubhai Parmar join BJP

Gandhinagar: Senior Congress leader Naresh Gangaram Rawal and Rajubhai Parmar joined ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with some other Congress cadres in presence of thousands of supporters at State party headquarters Shri Kamalam here.
Rawal is former Home Minister. He had also been the leader of the opposition. Rawal’s father was also a veteran Congress leader. Residing in Ahmedabad, Rawal is from Vijapur in North Gujarat. He had been in Congress for forty years. Rawal had trained as a pilot along with late Rajiv Gandhi.
Rajubhai Parmar is former three-term Rajya Sabha member. He was also heading the National Commission for Scheduled Castes during the Congress led UPA in Centre and also during the initial period of BJP led NDA government.
Both leaders along with other Congress cadres were enrolled into the ruling party by State BJP chief CR Patil. DeshGujarat
