SOG crime branch nabs a major drug dealer Aminabanu Pathan, aide with drugs

Ahmedabad: The SOG Crime branch arrested Aminabanu Pathan aka Amina Don, along with one Samiruddin Shaikh on Wednesday. The police also seized 31 grams of MD (Mephedrone) drugs worth Rs. 3.31 lakhs from the two history-sheeters.
A 52-year-old woman named Amina lives in the Kalupur area of the city in Vaniya Sheri and has previously been to jail under the NDPS Act.
Amina was arrested under the NDPS act in 2002 and was behind bars for a decade. Since her release in 2011, she has become one of the city’s biggest drug dealers, dealing in mephedrone (MD).
Samiruddin Shaikh, a 38-year-old rickshaw driver, is a resident of Saudagar ni Pol in Kalupur. He has done his time in jail previously in cases of drug peddling as well as bootlegging.
