Morbi: Police have arrested 9 persons in Morbi hanging bridge collapse case. Range IG of Police, Ashok Yadav today while addressing the media persons said that FIR was filed and the accused are booked under IPC sections 304, 308, 114.

IG Ashok Yadav said the accused Dipak Parekh (44) is the manager of Oreva company. Another accused Dinesh Dave is also a manager at Oreva company. One more accused Manukhbhai Valjibhai (59) works as a ticket clerk. Accused Madhurbhai Solanki (36) works as a ticket clerk. Contractual workers from Dhangadhra, Prakash Parmar, and Devabhai Parmar (31) were bridge repair contractors, and they too are arrested. Three guards from the Dahod district who were tasked with the duty to regulate and cap the number of people on the bridge are also arrested for negligency after their covid tests.

Yadav said today is the second day of the investigation. A 50-person team including FSL is involved in the investigation. Yadav said that as and when the roles are revealed in the investigation, more names will be added to FIR. DeshGujarat
