Fear of leopard attacks prompts Gujarat farmer to live in iron cage

Aravalli: A farmer has constructed an iron cage to protect himself from potential leopard attacks as he protects his farm at night in the Aravalli district.

Locals report that four leopards have taken up residence in a field close to a temple in Bhatkota village, causing villagers to guard the area in concern for their safety. This fear of leopard attacks has spread to over 15 rural areas, including Rameshwar Kampa, Gokharwa, Shampur Sardoi, and Lalpur, and residents are urging the forest department to take preventative action before the leopards become man-eaters and harm humans.
