Art of Living founder Shri Shri Ravishankar to be on Gujarat visit during March 11-18

Gandhinagar: Renown Spiritual organization ‘Art of Living’ informs in a note that its spiritual head Shri Shri Ravishankar will be on a visit to Gujarat during 11-18 March.

The main event during his visit will be on March 16 at Science City in Ahmedabad in which 5,000 youths will remain present. State Chief Minister will also attend this event.

On 11 March, Ravishankar will address a gathering on the theme of Vigyan Bhairav. He will deliver an address on the same topic in Surat on 12 March.

On 13 March he will attend the Ratnaraj Utsav program in Surat and conduct Sudarshan kriya.

He will also attend Pulse of Wisdom events in three cities – Vapi (March 14), Gandhidham (March 14), and Ahmedabad (March 16).

On March 15 he will attend Happiness Maha Utsav in Ahmedabad and address thousands of people.

On 17 March he will attend Edu-Youth meet in Anand and address thousands of youth on the subjects of Vyasan – Mukti and Paryavaran Samrakshan. He will later visit the Vasad-based ashram of Art of Living in Central Gujarat. DeshGujarat

Who is Shri Shri Ravishankar ?

Born in 1956 in Southern India, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was a gifted child. By the age of four, he was able to recite parts of the Bhagavad Gita, an ancient Sanskrit scripture and was often found in deep meditation. Gurudev’s first teacher, Sudhakar Chaturvedi, had a long association with Mahatma Gandhi. By the age of seventeen in 1973, Gurudev had graduated with degrees in, both, Vedic literature, and physics.

He founded The Art of Living as an international, non-profit, educational and humanitarian organization. Its educational and self-development programs offer powerful tools and accounts to eliminate stress and foster a sense of well-being. Appealing not only to a specific population, these practices have proven effective globally and at all levels of society. The Art of Living programs are currently offered in 180 countries. In 1997, Gurudev co-founded the International Association for Human Values (IAHV), a sister organization of The Art of Living.
