All the works for Hirasar Airport of Rajkot to complete by end of March this year: District Collector

Rajkot: Rajkot district collector Arun Mahesh Babu said in the press conference that all the works for Hirasar Airport near Rajkot will be completed by the end of the month of March this year.
The work of testing the flights with instrument landing systems is ongoing, he said. A 1-km tunnel below the runway and the control navigation system is ready, he further added. A runway is made for the landing of the Boeing 737. The work of 7 windmills has started. The airport will be dedicated after getting a clearance certificate from DGCA.
The works for terminal 1-2 lounge, fire station, mobile tower, communication, and MT building are ongoing at the airport. The calibration flight testing is started with help of an instrument landing system, navigation control system, and ATC tower. The Hirasar International Airport is spread across 2500 acres of land in Hirasar, Rajkot.
Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi is likely to dedicate this new airport of Rajkot anytime later this year. DeshGujarat
