Amul hikes milk prices by Rs 2 per litre
April 01, 2023
Anand: The Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation, which sells dairy products under the Amul brand, has announced a price hike od ₹2/litre on all milk varieties, including popular brands Amul Gold, Amul Shakti, and Amul Taaza, effective from today.
The price increase is attributed to the rising cost of cattle feed, transportation, and overall input cost. Last year in August, Amul had raised the prices of milk in the Gujarat market. With the latest increase, Amul Gold will cost Rs 64 per litre, Amul Shakti Rs 58 per litre, and Amul Taaza will cost Rs 52 per litre. While officials from the federation did not comment on the decision, all milk unions in the state, who are members of the federation, have decided to implement the revised milk prices. DeshGujarat
