Gujarat CM invites UK universities to GIFT City

Gandhinagar: A delegation of eight parliament members from various political parties in the United Kingdom visited the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel, in Gandhinagar. During their meeting, Patel extended an invitation to the best universities in the UK to set up their campuses in GIFT City, Gujarat.
Patel also highlighted the successful collaboration between Gujarat Biotechnology University and the University of Edinburgh from the UK. He expressed his desire to strengthen educational ties between Gujarat and the UK and further explore opportunities for academic partnerships.
Earlier in March, during the visit of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, it was announced that the Deakin University of Australia was given approval to set up a campus in GIFT City, making it the first foreign university to establish a campus in GIFT City.
