Part of Gujarat may experience unseasonal rain from May 27 to May 30

Gandhinagar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted unseasonal rains in parts of Gujarat from May 27th to 30th. Additionally,  IMD has issued a warning stating that “strong surface winds, 30-40 km/h, are very likely to prevail over the region from till 27th May.

According to the IMD bulletin, “Light thunderstorm with lightning and surface wind 30- 40 kmph (in gust) accompanied with light to moderate rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of North Gujarat region namely Banaskantha and Sabarkantha and in Kutch district,” on May 27th.

On May 28th, “Light thunderstorm with lightning and surface wind 30- 40 kmph (in gust) accompanied with light to moderate rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of North Gujarat region namely Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana and Sabarkantha; in the districts of Saurashtra- Kutch namely Rajkot, Amreli, Bhavnagar and Kutch”

On May 29th, “Light thunderstorm with lightning and surface wind 30- 40 kmph (in gust) accompanied with light to moderate rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of North Gujarat region namely Banaskantha and Sabarkantha; in the districts of Saurashtra- Kutch namely Amreli, Bhavnagar and Kutch.”

On May 30th,Light thunderstorm with lightning and surface wind 30- 40 kmph (in gust) accompanied with light to moderate rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of North Gujarat region namely Banaskantha and in Kutch district.”
