Ahmedabad: Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC)’s traffic project department has on an experimental basis installed a one-way traffic spike speed bump (tyre killer bump) at the service road of Chanakyapuri Bridge. Recently during the hearing in the Gujarat High Court, the Judge as suggested erecting such bumps so that wrong-side driving can be controlled. The judge had given examples of other cities where such measures are already taken to enforce traffic discipline. It’s worth noting that tyre killer bumps have spikes attached atop it which may puncture tye tyre of a vehicle that approaches it from the desired direction. DeshGujarat
