December 16, 2023
Surat: Surat Diamond Bourse (SDB), the world’s largest office complex in the city, is ready for inauguration at the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 17th. With the highly anticipated inauguration ahead, people of Surat are excited about the project, so much so that one jewelry firm made a 2 kg replica of the Diamond Bourse from gold, silver, and gems.
Flora Jewels, a jewelry firm, has created a replica of SDB using diamonds, gold, and silver. The weight of the replica is around 2 kg. This replica has been crafted by 35 workers from 7 states over a period of 60 days.
About the replica, the owner of the firm said, “We have made this as an example of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshta Bharat’, as it took teamwork. It is said that Surat is mini India, so is our office. Workers from every state work here, and with the hard work of these workers, we have made this memento for PM Modi. It took 60 days to make this, and we have used panch dhatu (silver, gold, brass, copper, and iron) and diamonds in this.” DeshGujarat
