Mehsana: The local administration carried out a demolition drive today in the Hatadiya area of Kheralu. After issuing a notice to remove the illegal encroachment earlier, the administration bulldozed the unauthorized construction today.

It is noteworthy that on January 21st, stone-pelting occurred in the same area during a procession of Lord Ram. The police had to fire around 10 rounds of tear gas shells to disperse the crowds engaged in stone-pelting.

In connection with the stone-pelting incident during the Lord Ram procession, about 15 people were rounded up. Five people had suffered minor injuries in incident at the time.  DeshGujarat
