Statue of Unity to remain open on 5 Mondays in 2024 after long weekends
February 10, 2024
Statue of Unity: The statue of unity and other tourist attractions at Ektanagar Kevadiya will remain open on Mondays in order to give the benefit of long weekends to visitors. However, the statue and other attractions will remain shut for weekly maintenance on Tuesdays instead of Mondays in such cases.
The decision has been taken to keep the statue and other tourist attractions open on Dhuleti (March), Bakra Eid (17 June), Raksha Banddhan (19 August), Janmashtami (26 August), and Eid (16 September), as all these festivals fall on Mondays. Now, because of this, the statue and other attractions will remain closed on 26th March, 18th June, 20th August, 28th August, and 17th September—all Tuesdays.
Thus, on five Mondays during the year 2024, the statue and other attractions will remain open for visitors, and the day of weekly maintenance will be shifted to Tuesdays.
