Gujarat govt hikes dearness allowance by 4 percent; increases NPS contribution of Govt

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government has announced 4 percent hike in dearness allowance of State government employees from July 2023. Around 4.45 lakh emplopyees and 4.63 lakh pensioners will benefit from this decision. The additional 8 month difference sum of 1 July 2023 to February 2024 and July 2023-February 2024 period arears will be paid in three installments along with salary in March, April, May this year. The government has also taken a decision that on account of NPS, the employees will need to give 10 percent share, the State government will contribute 14 percent. The State government has also decided that cash conversion payment for 10 LTC will be paid now as per the seventh pay commission instead of 6th. DeshGujarat
