March 07, 2024
Sabarmati: Soon, Amdavadis won’t need to travel to Lonavala to enjoy the Imagicaa amusement park, as the city is set to get its own Imagicaa right here at the Sabarmati Riverfront. This Rs. 130 crore project is positioned on the east side of the Atal Bridge at Sabarmati Riverfront and is anticipated to be spread over a 5 Lakh SqFt area.
The project has received approval from the Urban Development Department, and a work order is poised for release.
The entertainment hub will offer a mix of indoor and outdoor attractions, featuring a Ferris wheel providing panoramic views of the riverfront and cityscape. Planned features include tiered green promenades, vibrant parks, a Snow Park, Flying Carousel Ride, Drop Tower, a dedicated play area for children, food plazas, and a state-of-the-art amphitheatre.
The Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited (SRFDCL) initiated a global call for proposals for the development of the entertainment hub, resulting in the selection of Imagicaaworld Entertainment Limited for the project. The agreement stipulates a 30-year lease, which can be extended in the future, with an annual lease rent of Rs. 45.65 lakh. This amount will see a 10% escalation every three years. Additionally, Imagicaaworld Entertainment Limited will contribute 12.25% of its gross revenue to SRFDCL.
The project will collaborate with renowned international brands, including Dave & Busters from the US, Kidzania from Mexico, and Superpark from Finland, ensuring the introduction of global entertainment technologies to Ahmedabad. DeshGujarat
