Kishor Makwana appointed Chairman of National Commission for Schedule Castes

Gandhinagar: Kishor Makwana, joint spokesperson of Gujarat BJP has been appointed as Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes. The appointment has been made by the President of India. Makwana is a member of the Prime Ministers’ Museum & Library Society and also a board member of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University. He has penned several books on Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. He has been in the field of writing and journalism for the last 30 years. National Schedule Caste Commission is a Constitutional body.
The National Commission for Scheduled Castes is an Indian constitutional body established with a view to provide safeguards against the exploitation of Scheduled Castes and Anglo Indian communities to promote and protect their social, educational, economic and cultural interests, special provisions were made in the Constitution.
