Deakin University at GIFT City get 6,000 admission applications for inaugural batch
April 13, 2024
Gandhinagar: Deakin University, the first Australian university at GIFT City, has received approximately 6,000 applications for admission to its courses starting from July.
According to officials, the university is poised to commence its inaugural batch of courses in July and has garnered 6,000 registrations. Gujarat ranks among the top three regions in terms of registrations, alongside Maharashtra and Delhi NCR. Registrations have also been received from students in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Kolkata. Among cities, Vadodara, Delhi, and Mumbai have recorded the highest number of registrations.
Officials noted that registration is nearing completion, with the Master of Business Analytics course attracting a larger share, close to 80% of registrations, while the remaining 20% of registrations are for the Master of Cyber Security (Professional). This is because a larger student cohort from diverse academic backgrounds can apply for the Master of Business Analytics, whereas the Master of Cyber Security requires a relevant IT background.
