ACB Gujarat nabs police constable in bribery case Jamnagar

Jamnagar: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat today, nabbed a head constable stationed at the Police Headquarters in Jamnagar for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs. 15,000.
According to the case details, the accused, Badalbhai Nileshbhai Chotlia, who serves as a head constable at the Police Headquarters in the city, had previously apprehended a relative of the complainant with a bottle of liquor. Subsequently, the accused demanded a bribe of Rs. 15,000 in exchange for resolving the case. When the complainant expressed inability to pay such an amount, the accused demanded wheat and cumin instead. Following this, the complainant proposed that the accused purchase wheat using the Rs. 15,000.
However, since the complainant was unwilling to pay the bribe, he contacted the ACB. Subsequently, in a trap operation, the accused was caught red-handed while soliciting and accepting a bribe of Rs. 15,000. DeshGujarat
