Dwarka: The Special Operation Group (SOG) of the district police today recovered narcotics (charas) worth around Rs. 45 lakhs from a beach near a hotel in the Shantinagar area.
According to the police, the SOG was conducting patrolling last night when, around 2 am, officers found a transparent plastic box near the beach opposite a hotel in Shantinagar, Dwarka. Upon examination, it was found that the substance inside the box was charas.
In this operation led by in charge PI P.C. Singharkhia and his team from the SOG, the police seized 897 grams of charas in the transparent plastic box. The estimated value of this charas is Rs 44,85,000. A standard complaint has been filed under the NDPS Act at the Dwarka police station as no suspects were found in connection with this incident at the scene.
During the preliminary investigation, it is believed that someone ordered this quantity of charas and, fearing detection during police checks, abandoned the substance in the sea or on the beach. DeshGujarat
