April 19, 2024
Navsari: President of the Gujarat BJP and the party’s candidate from the Navsari Lok Sabha seat filed his nomination papers today for the upcoming General Elections for Lok Sabha 2024. Patil filed the nomination papers at the office of the Navsari District Collector during Vijay Muhurat at 12:39 pm. Patil was joined by Gujarat Cabinet Minister Kanubhai Desai and other senior BJP leaders.
Patil is contesting the Lok Sabha election from Navsari for the fourth time. He holds the record for winning the polls with the highest votes without holding a single campaign rally.
Patil held a mega roadshow in Navsari on Thursday, which lasted around 2 hours. The roadshow was also attended by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Power Minister Kanubhai Desai, Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi, among others.
It was reported that Patil missed the Vijay Mahurat of 12:39 pm yesterday and therefore decided to file the nomination today. However, it was later clarified that the plan was to file the nomination form on April 19th only, after a procession on 18th. DeshGujarat
