ACB Gujarat files offence against SK Langa and son for disproportionate asset

Gandhinagar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has filed offence against former Gandhinagar district collector SK Langa and his son Parikshit for disproportionate assets. Against legal income of over Rs. 5.87 crore from 1st April 2008 to 30th September 2019, Langa has spent and invested Rs. 17.59 crore which is 198.15 percent more.

According to the agency, Langa and his son Parikshit acquired various assets through illegitimate means. Parikshit allegedly established shell companies to launder the money, ultimately depositing it into his personal savings account. Langa is said to have funneled at least Rs. 5.44 crore into Parikshit’s shell companies and subsequently purchased multiple properties under Parikshit’s name.

The ACB has lodged a complaint under the Prevention of Corruption Act and Section 109 of the Indian Penal Code for aiding and abetting. DeshGujarat
