ACB Gujarat nabs Sub-Inspector of CID Crime in bribe case

Gandhinagar: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat today nabbed a sub-inspector of the CID (crime) at the Gandhinagar office in a bribery case involving a sum of Rs. 40,000.
As per the details of this case, CID Crime Surat Zone had booked the complainant in a case. Accused Jagdishkumar Tulsibhai Chavda, who is posted as a Police Sub Inspector at the CID Crime Office in Gandhinagar, was investigating that case. The CID seized computers, laptops, mobile phones, etc., belonging to the complainant for the investigation.
The accused Sub Inspector demanded a bribe of Rs. 50,000 in exchange for the release of the property. Rs. 10,000 of this bribe amount was paid, and as the complainant was unwilling to pay the remaining Rs. 40,000, he approached the ACB and lodged a complaint.
