ACB Gujarat nabs class-1 officer, his middleman in bribe case

Vadodara: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat today nabbed a class-1 officer of Gujarat government in bribe case here. ACB nabbed Regional Fire Officer Nilesh Patel and his aide middleman Apurvasinh Mahida in bribe case.
According to ACB, accused Regional Fire Officer Nilesh Bhikhabhai Patel, resident of Satsangvila in Vastral area of Ahmedabad demanded Rs. 2.25 lakh bribe from an applicant for issuance of No Objection Certificate(NOC). As an applicant was unwilling to pay a bribe, he contacted ACB, following which a trap was arranged and a middleman Apurvsinh Mahida from Manglej village of Karjan taluka was nabbed after he received bribe on behalf of Nilesh Patel on latter’s instructions.
