Unseasonal Rain and Hailstorms hit parts of Gujarat

Ambaji: People in Gujarat have been enjoying relief from the heat due to rainfall over the past 2-3 days. Today, also some areas experienced rain accompanied by hailstorms.
Ambaji witnessed rain for the second consecutive day, along with lightning. Hail was reported in some areas, raising concerns among farmers about potential crop damage, especially to mangoes.
In Vadwan, located in the Surendranagar district, hail accompanied the rain, affecting areas such as Rampara, Timba, Vaghela, and Malod. While the unseasonal rains provided relief from the heat for residents, farmers are worried about the storm’s impact on their crops.
Rainfall was also reported in the rural areas of Bhanvad taluka in Dwarka district. Meanwhile, in areas of Dang and Kuch rainfall continued for the third consecutive day.
The Meteorological Department has forecast scattered rain in the state today and tomorrow, along with a warning for heatwaves.
According to the latest IMD bulletin, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Dahod, ChhotaUdepur, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Panchmahal, and Kheda are likely to experience rainfall until tomorrow morning.
