Sarpanch, her son held in Rs. 1.10 lakh bribe case in rural Dwarka

Dwarka: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has nabbed a village Sarpanch and her son in bribe case in which the bribe sum was Rs. 1.10 lakh.
Accused Lakhibai Meramanbhai Gujariya is Sarpanch of Nagda village in Khambhaliya taluka of coastal Dwarka district. Her son Fulsurbhai alias Fulabhai Meramanbhai is the second accused in this bribe case. Fulsurbhai was in the role of a middle-man.
According to ACB, a complainant in this case is into task of excavating soil from Sinhan dam. Accused Sarpanch and her son asked to pay Rs. 1.10 lakh bribe for not harasing the complainant and for not creating hurdles in the soil excavation work.
As the complainant was not willing to pay bribe, he contacted ACB, following which a trap was arranged and accused were nabbed after the son of Sarpanch received bribe. DeshGujarat
