Rs. 1.25 crore hybrid/synthetic ganja recovered from parcels at FPO

Ahmedabad: Crime Branch, Customs and Exise department in a jount operation recovered hybrid and synthetic ganja(marijuana or canabis) in parcels at Foreign Post Office. The weed was concealed in toys, chocolates, lunch boxes, and vitamin candy, and the parcels originated from Canada, the USA, and Thailand. The value of substance is Rs. 1.25 crore. Crime Branch has detained one person and initiated a probe. Among the parcels, 2 were from Canada, 11 were from America and 1 was from Thailand. The parcels were recovered from Shahibag based Foreign Post Office which has witnessed similar recoveries in the past too. DeshGujarat

So far, materials worth Rs. 1.15 crore have been surrendered, and counting and investigation is ongoing.
