IMD predicts heavy rain in Gujarat till 29th June; Orange alert in 2 districts

Vadodara: Monday brought a huge relief to several districts of Gujarat as rainfall occurred in many parts of these districts. Very heavy rainfall was reported in Kheda district, while heavy rains lashed Ahmedabad, Panchmahal, Gandhinagar, Anand, Surendranagar, and Jamnagar.
With the monsoon active and likely to advance further in Gujarat over the next three to four days, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain warning for parts of Gujarat for the next five days, until June 29th.
According to the IMD’s latest update, Panchmahal and Vadodara are on orange alert as heavy to very heavy rains are likely in these areas today.
Meanwhile, Anand, Panchmahal, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Surendranagar, Amreli, Bhavnagar, and Botad can expect heavy rain, with predictions of light to moderate rain in the rest of the state.
On June 26th, heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region, namely Anand, Panchmahal, Vadodara, and Chhota Udepur; and in the districts of Saurashtra, namely Surendranagar, Amreli, Bhavnagar, and Botad.
On June 27th, heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region, namely Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Valsad, and in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli; and in the districts of Saurashtra, namely Amreli and Bhavnagar.
On June 28th, heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region, namely Kheda, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, and Vadodara.
On June 29th, heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat region, namely Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli.
It is noteworthy that apart from these districts, the entire state is expected to receive light to moderate rain over the next five days. DeshGujarat
