Orange alert in South Gujarat today; IMD issues heavy rain warning until July 2nd

Gandhinagar: The Southwest Monsoon 2024 covered the entire state of Gujarat on Thursday with very heavy rainfall in many places. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its latest forecast has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in some districts of the state today and on July 1, issuing an orange alert for these areas.
According to the IMD Bulletin, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, and Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli are under an orange alert today with warnings of heavy to very heavy rains.
Additionally, heavy rains are likely at isolated places in the following districts: Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Dang, Tapi, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Morbi, Dwarka, Gir Somnath, Botad, Kutch, and in Diu.
On June 29th, heavy rains are expected at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat region, namely Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli.
On June 30th, heavy rains are likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region, including Gandhinagar, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli.
On July 1st, heavy to very heavy rains are expected at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat region, specifically Valsad and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli, with heavy rains likely in Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Surat, and Navsari districts of Gujarat region.
On July 2nd, heavy rains are likely at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat region, particularly Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli.
However, the rest of Gujarat is expected to receive light to moderate rain during this period. DeshGujarat
