Israel Consul General meets Gujarat Chief Minister
Gandhinagar, 4 May, 2011
Israel Consul General Ms. Orna Sagir today met Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and discussed having partnership in developing human resources in the areas of agricultural technology, water, power and safety.
Chief Minister said that farmers in Gujarat are eager to adept new technology in farming and if business houses of Israel involved with agriculture, arrange an agro-tech fair in Gujarat, the state government will give full support to them.
Israel Consul General was impressed by the state government’s initiatives like Krishi Mahotsav, water management, Raksh Shakti university and forensic science university.
Chief Minister gave details about solar desalination plant on the seacoast of Gujarat and about the revenue model of solid waste management and waste water treatment recycling plant.
Secretary to Chief Minister A.K.Sharma was also present on the occasion.
