Ahmedabad: Following are the figures of rainfall in the limits of Amdavad Municipal Corporation(AMC) during 6 am to 7 pm period today(Sunday). As one can see, there’s huge variation area-wise. The highest rainfall has been witnessed in the Science City and Gota areas which is nearly 7 inches. The roads in these areas are obviously water logged. The rainfall continued throughout the afternoon. For fast releaes of water, 4 gates of Vasna barrage are opened in 1.5 ft measurement in early afternoon. Mithakhali underpass is shut for traffic at 2.21 pm while Akkhbarnagar underpass is closed for traffic at 2.40 pm. Post 3 pm LC 26 Makarba underpass’s gate was also closed for traffic. Another LC 1C Silverstar underpass was also shut for traffic.  Subsequently the underpasses were reopened.DeshGujarat
