Ahmedabad: In yet another case of unhygienic food being served or delivered to customers, a woman in Maninagar received fungus-laden sweets today. After the complaint, the city civic body has sealed the Gwalia Sweets branch that sold the contaminated sweets.

Residing in Maninagar, Reema Doshi ordered a total of six items from Gwalia Sweets Pvt Ltd Maninagar branch, located in Shivani Avenue, via the online food delivery app Zomato. However, when she received the order, she found out that the Kanpuri Ladoo she had ordered were laden with fungus. After finding the fungus in the sweets, the family contacted the health department of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC). The AMC team reached the location and, after an inquiry, sealed the shop.
