Watch: Glimpses of new AMC Swimming Pool and Gymnasium to open in Ahmedabad this Sunday

The complex is designed to benefit residents of Vejalpur, Prahladnagar, Anandnagar, Sarkhej, Makarba, and nearby areas. Key features of the swimming pool include a 50m x 25m swimming pool with depths ranging from 3.6 to 6.6 feet, a baby swimming pool, and a rooftop covering. Facilities also encompass separate ladies’ and gents’ toilets with locker rooms and cubicle showers, an instructor and inquiry/registration office, a filtration plant, and a coach’s office within the gymnasium. Additionally, the gym features rubber flooring, modern interiors with mirrors, changing rooms, and ample parking space.
Following the inauguration, the Makarba Swimming Pool and Gymnasium Complex will operate daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Managed under a public-private partnership (PPP) model, the facility will be run by a private concessionaire selected through a competitive bidding process in collaboration with the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC).
