Bharuch tops the chart, followed by Tapi and Surat, in 24-hour rainfall data from Gujarat

Bharuch: Valia taluka in Bharuch district received nearly 12 inches (297 mm) of rain during the 24 hours that ended at 6 am today, i.e., 3rd September. Rainfall above 204 mm is classified as extremely heavy rain, and besides Valia, Songadh and Vyara talukas of Tapi also witnessed extremely heavy rain, recording 10 and 8.9 inches of rain, respectively.
During these last 24 hours ending at 6 am this morning, South and Central Gujarat areas were the most affected by the heavy rains. Mangrol, Vaghai, Bharuch, Tilakwada, Uchchha, Dolvan, Nadiad, Vansada, Subir, Lunawada, Kapadvanj, Morwa (Hadaf), Karjan, and Prantij were among the talukas that received very heavy rain, ranging from 115.6 mm to 204.4 mm.
A total of 183 talukas recorded rainfall during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am today, with 88 of them receiving over 2 inches of rain and 130 receiving over an inch of rain. DeshGujarat
