PM Modi shares video of Garba song ‘Aavati Kalay’ written by him

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today shared another Garba song titled ‘Aavati Kalaya Madi Vaaya Kalaya,’ which he wrote as a tribute to Goddess Durga. He also expressed his gratitude to singer Purva Mantri for performing the song.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi said, “It is the auspicious time of Navratri and people are celebrating in different ways, united by their devotion to Maa Durga. In this spirit of reverence and joy, here is #AavatiKalay, a Garba I wrote as a tribute to Her power and grace. May Her blessings always remain upon us.”

“I thank Purva Mantri, a talented upcoming singer, for singing this Garba and presenting such a melodious rendition of it. #AavatiKalay,” PM Modi said in another tweet.
Additionally, Arvind Vegda, a popular Gujarati singer known for the song ‘Bhai Bhai,’ also released a song from PM Modi’s collection of poetry. Vegda provided vocals for the song ‘Madi Mane Daivat Deje,’ which was penned by PM Modi and composed by Yogesh Gadhvi, with music by Amit Barot. This song is featured in PM Modi’s book, ‘Aankh Aa Dhanya Chhe.’
In 2013, the renowned Gujarati singer Devang Patel also performed a Garba song written by PM Modi. The Garba song ‘Ghoome Eno Garbo’ was composed by Devang Patel. Several artists, including Devang Patel, Hemant Chauhan, Musa Paik, Priti-Pinki, Shruti Pathak, and Aishwarya Majumdar, lent their voices to this track, which was part of the album ‘Nache Gujarat.’ The song was released in January 2013 during the Vibrant Gujarat event.
