More about migrant Muslims who raped a minor Hindu girl in Vadodara during Navratri night

Vadodara: All five accused in the Bhayli minor girl rape case are migrant Muslims from Uttar Pradesh. As Gujarat is getting better and better, the migration that lacks quality is increasing. The rape incident has opened the eyes of the people to this influx, which is resulting in an increase in crime incidents.

Two of the accused in the gang rape case have reportedly built an illegal house in Ektanagar in the Tandalja area. The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has served a notice and attached it to the house. Gang rape accused Munna Abbas Banjara and Aftab Subedar Banjara have built houses without any permission from the VMC.

Police investigations revealed that one of the accused, Munna Banjara, lives with his pregnant wife in Tandalja. The other accused, Aftab, lives with his three children and wife. The third accused, Shahrukh, lives with his wife and two children. Munna migrated from Uttar Pradesh to Vadodara 10 years ago, while Mumtaz alias Aftab and Shahrukh migrated from Uttar Pradesh to Vadodara 14 years ago. They came to Vadodara to do Plaster of Paris (POP) work. The accused, Mumtaz alias Aftab Banjara, is facing a police case from the year 2015 filed by his wife over physical and mental torture and dowry. The accused, Munna and Aftab, are relatives of each other.

The accused, Munna Abbas Banjara (27), is a resident of Ekta Nagar in the Kali Talavdi area of Tandalja. He is from Gaunda in Uttar Pradesh. The other accused, Mumtaz alias Aftab Banjara (36), also lives in Ekta Nagar in the Tandalja area. He is from Ambedkarnagar in Uttar Pradesh. Local MLA Balkrushna Shukla, speaking to a local daily, stated that unauthorized encroachments have become a menace. In a few days, the action against such encroachments will be visible.

Another MLA, Keyur Rokadiya, mentioned that some migrant Muslims have built houses on government land, while others are not vacating slum units even after being allotted affordable housing. Such individuals collect rent from their allotted homes and rent their housing units to anti-social elements without the required registration with the police. Strong actions should be taken against them by the police.

MLA Chaitanya Desai noted that illegal constructions are taking place in Tandalja and other areas. Such settlements can be observed in Kali Talavdi in Tandalja, and in addition to that, there are hundreds of encroachments in the Santoshnagar BSPU housing area and elsewhere. These illegal constructions have become hubs for migrant Muslims and should be demolished.

Local Lok Sabha member Dr. Hemang Joshi stated that there should be demolitions of encroachments belonging to anti-social elements, similar to those in Somnath.
