Amit Shah to administer oath to 11,300 advocates in Gujarat event

Gandhinagar: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will administer the oath to 11,300 newly appointed lawyers on Sunday, February 9th, at the Dada Bhagwan Conviction Centre in Adalaj.

This historic ceremony, organized by the Bar Council of Gujarat, will also be attended by the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Law Minister Rushikesh Patel, Chairman of the Bar Council of Gujarat Manankumar Mitra, Solicitor General of India Tushar Mehta, and Advocate General Kamal Trivedi.

“This is a landmark event in the legal history of the country, where 11,300 lawyers will take their oath together in Gujarat,” said J.J. Patel, Chairman of the Bar Council of Gujarat. The ceremony will also be attended by office bearers of all Bar Councils across the country, members of the Bar Council of India (BCI), and office bearers of 272 Bar Associations, along with a large number of lawyers.

The oath-taking ceremony aims to instill a sense of responsibility and dignity in the newly appointed lawyers, encouraging them to practice law with integrity. The Bar Council Chairman has been working tirelessly for the past month to ensure the success of this event.

“History bears witness that lawyers have always been at the forefront of any revolution,” said a statement from the Bar Council. “Furthermore, a significant number of spokespersons for all political parties in the country are also lawyers.”
