Fearing beating from father, Pakistani youth enters Kutch in India; nabbed

Kutch: The Border Security Force (BSF) has arrested a Pakistani youth who entered Kutch on foot from Pakistan.

Acting on a tip-off about a suspicious individual roaming in a sensitive border area, local police apprehended an 18-year-old youth, identified as Love Sarup Deva Bhil, near the BSF post in the Khawda Rann area of western Kutch. The youth is a native of Dermo village in the Diplo taluka of Mithi district, Tharparkar, Pakistan.

During questioning, the youth revealed that he had left his home in Pakistan on foot on Thursday night out of fear of being beaten by his father. His father had asked him to graze cattle, but when he refused, he was assaulted. Fearing further violence, he left his house around 9 p.m. on Thursday without informing anyone. He reached the Indo-Pak border late at night, crossed a water channel, and entered Indian territory. He then walked approximately 30 kilometers towards Khawda before being apprehended by the police.

The Khawda police immediately informed the BSF, the State Intelligence Bureau (IB), and the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). The arrested youth was taken to Bhuj for a joint interrogation, where multiple agencies questioned him using tactful and effective methods.

During the search, the police recovered a ₹50 Pakistani currency note, a mobile phone, and a matchbox from him. DeshGujarat
