NHAI revises toll tax rates at Limdi Toll Plaza on NH 56 in Gujarat

Surendranagar: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced new toll rates for several toll plazas nationwide, effective April 1, including the Limdi Toll Plaza on National Highway 56 in Gujarat.

National Highway 56, often referred to as NH 56, connects Chittaurgarh in Rajasthan to Vapi in Gujarat. This highway passes through the states of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan.

This toll rate adjustment is part of an annual process based on fluctuations in the wholesale price index-based inflation.

The revised toll rates at Limdi Toll Plaza are as follows:

Special Provisions and Discounts:

  • Monthly Pass for Local Residents: A monthly pass for Rs. 350/- is available for non-commercial vehicles residing within a distance of 20 Km from the toll plaza.
  • Return Journey Discount: Return journeys within 24 hours receive a 25% discount on the total toll fee.
  • Monthly Pass Discount: Monthly passes for 50 single journeys receive a 33% discount.
  • Local Commercial Vehicle Discount: Commercial vehicles registered within the district (excluding those under national permit) are eligible for a discounted rate.

Additional Information:

  • The project was developed under public funds on EPC basis, as per the Contract Agreement dated June 12, 2014.
  • The length of the completed project is 85.588 Km, which commenced commercial operation on December 17, 2018.
  • The toll rates are applicable for a completed length of 66.246 Km.
  • The project includes straight sections, bypasses, and structures (bridges).
  • Exempted vehicles are listed in the Amendment to Fee Rules dated December 3, 2010 (GSR 950 (E)).
  • Vehicles exceeding permissible load will be charged 10 times the applicable fee, with an additional charge for removing the excess load.
  • The capital cost of the project is Rs. 400.79 Crore, out of which Rs. 84.24 Crore is recovered.
  • User fee (toll) rates will be reduced to 40% upon recovery of capital cost.
