Centre of Excellence for Green Hydrogen to come up at Gandhidham

Gandhidham: A Centre of Excellence (CoE) focused on green hydrogen is set to come up in Gandhidham, Kutch. The Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) had invited online bids for the construction of the project, which carries an estimated cost of ₹75.07 crore and a completion timeline of 10 months.
The CoE will be located on a plot adjacent to the Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Convention Centre, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2022. The scope of work includes the construction of a pre-engineered building (PEB) featuring drywall partitions, interior furnishings, plumbing, electrical installations, acoustics, audio-visual systems, internal roads, and landscaping with all allied facilities. The facility must comply with green building standards as per IGBC/GRIHA guidelines, aiming to achieve the highest rating.
The project also involves preparing structural plans and detailed architectural designs for the CoE building, which must be approved by the relevant authorities. The plans will cover civil, structural, architectural, interior, and furniture layouts, along with provisions for sanitation, water supply, fire safety, landscaping, complete electrification, CCTV installation, and air conditioning systems.
The last date for submitting bids was May 14, 2025, and the submitted bids will remain valid for 120 days. DeshGujarat
