PM Modi Attends Wedding Reception of Gujarat Minister’s Son in Gandhinagar
May 27, 2025
Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Gujarat on May 26–27, attended a wedding reception on the evening of May 26 during his stay in the state capital, Gandhinagar.
The Prime Minister attended the wedding reception of Gujarat Cabinet Minister Balwantsinh Rajput’s son, Arjunsinh Rajput. Gujarat BJP President and Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil was also present on the occasion. Arjunsinh Rajput had tied the knot with Tapasya Sengar on May 23, while the reception was held during the Prime Minister’s visit to the city. PM Modi made a brief appearance at the event, blessed the newlyweds, engaged in light conversation, and then left for Raj Bhavan, where he was staying overnight.
Amid ongoing speculations about a cabinet reshuffle in Gujarat, political chatter also focused on Balwantsinh Rajput, who holds the key portfolio of Industries Minister and is the MLA from Siddhpur, a constituency where the BJP trailed by over 24,000 votes in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Discussions have been ongoing about whether such performance-related factors will influence the expected cabinet reshuffle.
The Rajput family expressed great joy at the Prime Minister’s presence, and Balwantsinh Rajput thanked PM Modi on social media for attending the reception despite his busy schedule. DeshGujarat
