Central Gujarat gets widespread showers; here’s 24-hour rainfall data

Anand: Several talukas of Gujarat received light to moderate rainfall in the last 24 hours ending at 6 am today, with the highest rainfall recorded in Petlad taluka of Anand district, which received over 2.6 inches (68 mm) of rain. According to official data, the state experienced varied showers across 48 talukas, but clouds were mostly active in the central Gujarat region.
Anand district dominated the rainfall chart with significant precipitation across multiple talukas: Anand city received 2.64 inches, while Khambhat recorded 2.01 inches. Other talukas that received over an inch of rain include Tarapur, Mehmedabad, Dehgam, Chikhli, Vaso, Sojitra, and Matar.
The rest of the state witnessed light rainfall ranging between 1 mm and 21 mm (less than an inch). Ahmedabad district recorded up to 12 mm in Dholka and 8 mm in Dholera, while the city area saw only 1 mm. Rainfall in Vadodara, Dahod, Mahisagar, Kheda, Gandhinagar, and Mahesana ranged from 1 mm to 17 mm.
