Ahmedabad: The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Ltd (NHSRCL) today announced that a 100-meter-long steel bridge, weighing 1,400 tons, has been successfully launched over the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) tracks near Bharuch.
This 1,400 MT steel bridge is 14.6 meters in height and 14.3 meters in width, with a nose measuring 84 meters in length and weighing 600 MT.
This marks the 8th of the 28 ‘Make in India’ steel bridges planned along the bullet train corridor and reflects precision engineering — from fabrication in Trichy to phased launching over active freight lines, NHSRCL said in an official statement.
