Stray Dog Menace: Child mauled to death; 3 others injured in Palitana, Bhavnagar

Palitana: A tragic incident has surfaced from Valukad village in Palitana taluka of Bhavnagar district, where a child lost his life after being mauled by a stray dog. The attack also left three others injured, including a woman and two young children, highlighting the growing menace of stray dogs in the area.
According to reports, the victims belonged to a family of farm labourers working in the fields when the attack occurred. The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. The child’s body has been sent for post-mortem and will be handed over to the family afterward. Police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
Villagers expressed anger over the rising stray dog threat and accused the local civic bodies of inaction — not only in dealing with stray dogs but also stray cattle. They have demanded urgent intervention to prevent further such incidents.
