Botad: A man from Botad sustained burn injuries to his leg after his mobile phone suddenly exploded inside his pant pocket.

The victim, identified as Chandresh Joshi, said the incident happened unexpectedly. “I had just received a message and deleted it. After putting the phone back in my pocket, it suddenly blasted,” Joshi recalled.

Joshi added that the phone, though about five years old, had been functioning perfectly without any known issues. “The battery was also in good condition. If you saw it, it still looked like new,” he said.

Fortunately, a heavy protective cover on the phone is believed to have prevented more severe injuries. DeshGujarat
