Imagicaaworld plans to build India’s largest water park near Ahmedabad

Gandhinagar: Mumbai-based Imagicaaworld Entertainment Ltd (IEL) is set to expand its presence in Gujarat with plans to develop India’s largest water park near Ahmedabad. The company’s board has approved the acquisition of 100% equity in Malpani Parks Ahmedabad Pvt Ltd (MPAPL), securing land ownership for the project.

The ₹75 crore acquisition, subject to shareholder approval, will be completed through a combination of share purchase and fund infusion towards liabilities, making MPAPL a wholly owned subsidiary of IEL.

This will be IEL’s third project in Gujarat, following the Aqua Imagicaa Water Park in Surat and the Sabarmati Riverfront project near Atal Bridge in Ahmedabad. With the acquisition, IEL will gain direct access to 34 acres of non-agricultural land with highway frontage and connectivity, allowing it to fast-track timelines for its flagship project. The park will feature world-class rides, slides, and attractions built to international standards, the company said.

Jai Malpani, Director of Imagicaaworld Entertainment, said the Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar belt will soon host the country’s largest water park. “This investment strengthens our position as India’s most trusted entertainment brand and reinforces Gujarat as a hub for high-quality entertainment and tourism. We are excited about this landmark project, which will enhance our presence in western India and elevate customer experiences to new heights,” he said.
