Western Railway announces Vadodara – Kolkata special train for Durga Puja

Vadodara: Western Railway (WR) has announced the operation of a Special Durga Puja Train to facilitate passenger movement and address increased travel demand during the festive season. The weekly special service will run between Vadodara and Kolkata, offering greater convenience for those travelling to celebrate Durga Puja with their families.

Train No. 03110 (Vadodara – Kolkata): Operates every Thursday from 2 October 2025 to 27 November 2025, departing Vadodara at 16:45 hrs and arriving in Kolkata at 04:05 hrs on Saturday.

Train No. 03109 (Kolkata – Vadodara): Runs every Tuesday from 30 September 2025 to 25 November 2025, departing Kolkata at 08:00 hrs and reaching Vadodara at 19:45 hrs the following day.

Booking for Train No. 03110 opens on 30 August 2025 at all Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counters and on the IRCTC website. Passengers are encouraged to book early to secure their travel during the busy festive period.

The special train will halt at key stations including Godhra, Ratlam, Kota, Gangapur City, Idgah Agra, Tundla, Govindpuri, Prayagraj Jn., Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Sasaram, Gaya, Tilaiya, Nawadah, Sheikhpura, Kiul, Jhajha, Jasidih, Madhupur, Chittaranjan, Asansol, Durgapur, and Barddhaman in both directions.

The train will feature AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class, and General Second Class coaches to ensure comfortable journeys for passengers across all segments.
