ACB Gujarat nabs UGVCL staffer in bribery case

Arvalli: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat today trapped Ramabhai Tabhiyar, Electric Assistant at Iploda UGVCL Sub-Division Office in Meghraj of Modasa taluka, in a bribery case.
According to the ACB, the complainant’s electricity connection had been disconnected due to unpaid bills. After paying the dues, when the complainant wanted to get his connection restored, the accused demanded ₹500 to reinstall the meter. Unwilling to pay, the complainant approached the ACB.
During a sting operation near Vasna village bus stand, the accused was caught red-handed accepting the bribe in the presence of a local Panch. The entire amount was recovered on the spot. DeshGujarat
