Day before Navratri on Sunday Gujarat sees Scattered Showers; 4 Talukas had Over an Inch of Rain

Gandhinagar: Several parts of Gujarat witnessed spells of rainfall on Sunday, with four talukas recording more than one inch of rain between 6 am and 10 pm. The highest rainfall was concentrated in the Amreli and Bharuch districts, according to data released by the State Emergency Operation Center.
Rajula taluka in Amreli district and Hansot in Bharuch district each recorded the highest rainfall at 38 mm, which translates to approximately 1.5 inches. Following closely was Navsari taluka, which received 37 mm (1.46 inches) of rain. Jafrabad in Amreli district also experienced a significant downpour of 35 mm (1.38 inches).
Talukas with One Inch or More Rainfall:
- Rajula, Amreli: 38 mm (1.5 inches)
- Hansot, Bharuch: 38 mm (1.5 inches)
- Navsari, Navsari: 37 mm (1.46 inches)
- Jafrabad, Amreli: 35 mm (1.38 inches)
Other areas that received moderate showers include Dediapada in Narmada district and Chikhli in Navsari, both recording 22 mm. Several other talukas across Kheda, Anand, Tapi, and Surat districts also reported light to moderate rainfall throughout the day.
Meanwhile, Ahmedabad city saw minimal rainfall, recording just 2 mm (0.08 inches) between 2 pm and 4 pm. The data indicates that the rainfall was largely scattered and varied in intensity across the state. DeshGujarat
